Our 2018 Goals Are Centered Around Your Goals

Over the past two years AASA has requested your input and thankfully you have provided feedback.  We asked for you to help us create our organization's strategic plan.  From this input we identified 3 strategic priorities:

1.    Professional Development & Networking

2.    Website Presence & Resources

3.    Member Engagement

We then requested additional feedback from you all to help us sharpen our focus in these areas.  This input allowed AASA efforts to focus directly on these three areas across our platforms of website resources, webinars, Cutting Edge, midyear retreats, and the annual conference in Boston.

To fully plan and execute 2018 we wanted to add one more component to this focus... YOU, our members.  We asked your feedback after our annual meeting in San Diego.  This time we asked for your personal goals for the year.

The top broad categories we heard from your goals:

1.    HR/People / Organization Behavior / Structure

2.    Strategy & Growth

3.    Operations / Efficiency

Top thematic topics we heard in your feedback:

1.    Department Reorganization

2.    Professional Skill Development

3.    Orient Department Chair

4.    Health/Wellness

5.    Strategic Planning

6.    Financial Sustainability

7.    Patient Satisfaction / Access

Thank you for your willingness to share your goals.  Your broad and specific feedback have now driven our education plan for 2018 and our Request for Proposals for speakers.  Your goals will drive topics/speakers in our virtual education/tools (webinar, book clubs, Cutting Edge, member toolkit) and in-person education (midyear retreats and annual meeting) opportunities.

As always please continue to share your needs and feedback.  That is what has and will always make AASA a strong organization!
