Join us to learn about UAB MedCast, the nation’s first CME podcast for healthcare professionals. Marissa Keppley and Megan Yeatts of University of Alabama at Birmingham will be presenting and will discuss UAB's success with podcasts for physician communication and outreach.

Marissa Keppley is a healthcare marketing and communications professional, originally from Tampa, FL. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Boston University and a master’s in business administration from UAB. Her work experience includes supporting Neuroscience offices at Brigham and Women’s hospital, managing research labs at Harvard Medical School, and founding the nation’s first CME podcast for healthcare professionals here at UAB. She believes data-driven decisions are keys to success but is not afraid of exploring innovative ways to communicate and market healthcare to the community.

Megan Yeatts joined the UAB Department of Surgery in January 2016 as director of communications. In November of 2018, she assumed the role of administrative director. In this role Megan continues to oversee communications as well as human resources and other administrative areas. Megan’s experience includes working in book and magazine publishing for Southern Living and other Time Inc. titles. Megan earned her master’s in business administration from UAB in 2015. A native North Carolinian, Megan received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008.
