Important Information Regarding the AASA Headquarters Hotel

As you may have heard in the media, Marriott International is currently in labor negotiations involving several markets including Boston and members of the hotel workers' union, UNITE HERE, have elected to go on strike. This includes the Sheraton Boston Hotel, the AASA Annual Conference Headquarters hotel. We want to assure you we have been working closely with the hotel and there will be no disruption to the AASA Annual Conference. For those attendees staying at the Sheraton Boston we would like to provide the following information on their contingency plan:

  • Housekeeping: Every room is serviced daily.
  • Front Desk is business as usual.
  • Food & Beverage: 
    • Apropos - open daily serving full breakfast buffet daily from 6AM-10AM (cost reduced to $18pp).
      Market (grab-n-go) - open daily from 6AM-2PM serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, sandwiches, pastries, and snacks.
    • Delivery by Market (in room delivery) - open daily from 6:30AM-10AM serving breakfast items (yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, pastries, fruit) and hot/cold beverages.
    • Sidebar - serving cocktails daily from 4PM-11PM.
    • Club Lounge - Open daily for non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.
  • Engineering is business as usual. 
  • Sundries Shop, Fed Ex, and Hertz Rental Car on-site Locations are business as usual.
  • Deliveries are business as usual.
